Can you share what you wish you knew before starting Volleyball? Also, any advice for beginners or those already involved in Volleyball?

Coach Paloma – “Volleyball can be mentally challenging sometimes but just know that you will grow and succeed in time. Handwork always pays off! Some advice is to not give up! Keep working on certain skills you struggle on. Don’t be afraid to ask for help. The last thing is once you play volleyball you will get addicted to it! Try it out and see what happens.”

Camila – “I wish I knew how hard it was to adapt to people you don’t know, and how people can take you for granted and not see what your capable of, and for the new incomers do your best! Don’t be afraid to ask questions”.

Dora – “I’d say always be open to learning new techniques and just always bring your best even if it’s your first time, but I wish I knew how to improve more and more when I wasn’t able to play to be better for when I will play. That would really help you and improve”

Macayla – “Before joining volleyball, I wish I knew that I shouldn’t get into my head during a game and that I should always have fun. Some advice I have for beginners or those already involved in volleyball is to always communicate with your team, don’t fear mistakes, move your feet, and have fun!”

Thank you to the coach and players for taking the time to answer these questions and giving us insight into their lives and the game. Take all the advice to heart and make good use of it in the future. Seniors, best of luck in your future endeavors. Have fun, live life to the fullest, and embrace new experiences. Coaches, thank you for providing our volleyball team with opportunities to learn and for your unwavering support. Enjoy creating new memories and cherishing the old ones!
