I interviewed Kaylyn Miguel, Manuel Armenta, and Alexis Sainz. Kaylyn and Manuel are both Juniors and Alexis a senior.

First, I asked, “What are your goals for basketball?” Kaylyn responded with, “Playing varsity and getting into colleges.” Manuel said, “My jumps.” Alexis responded, “I’m trying to get into an office, and also getting into college basketball.”

After that I asked, “What made you join basketball?” Kaylyn replied, “Playing basketball with my dad.” Manuel responded, “I was overweight.” Alexis answered, “I’m just trying new stuff.”

Then, I asked, “Are you planning on playing basketball in the future?” They all responded with “Yes.”

So, I asked, “What were the challenges you had to go through to be in this sport?” Kaylyn said that his weight was the biggest challenge. Manuel responded with, “My speed.” Alexis had challenges with injuries.

After that I asked, “What is the easiest part being in basketball?” Kaylyn said shooting was the easiest part. Manuel responded with, “The easiest part of it was it helping me, it’s like therapy.” Alexis said nothing was easy.

Then I asked, “What do you do during pre-season that’s different from regular season?” Kaylyn responded with, “Park and just working out a little.” Manuel replied, “A lot of self-training and strengthening.”

When asked how long they have been playing basketball, Kaylyn responded with, “I been playing since i was a kid.” Manuel has been playing 2 years, and Alexis 9 years.

After that I asked, “What is your best memory in basketball?” Kaylyn said, “Playing Basketball with my dad.” Manuel and Alexis said their best memory was championships, with Alexis specifying winning National Championships.

Lastly, I asked, “How different do you personally feel from last year?” Kaylyn responded with, “I’m skinnier, stronger, and faster.” Manuel replied, “I’m more developed and more confident.” Alexis said, “I’m feeling blessed, more happy, confident, joy, and stronger.”
